Portugal are in discussions with Nigeria over a potential international friendly in June as part of their preparations for the 2026 World Cup.
The two football federations have reached an agreement in principle, although several logistical details are still being finalised.
Portugal have already qualified for the tournament, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, and currently know two of their three group-stage opponents Colombia and Uzbekistan.

Nigeria, who finished third at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, will not feature at the World Cup after losing on penalties to DR Congo in the African play-off final.
Despite missing out on qualification, the Super Eagles recent performances have attracted interest from teams preparing for the tournament.
