Getafe midfielder Christantus Uche is attracting significant interest from several Premier League clubs following an impressive debut season in La Liga.
The 22-year-old Nigerian, who joined Getafe from third-tier Spanish side Ceuta last summer, made an immediate impact in Spain’s top flight, registering four goals and six assists in 33 appearances for Los Azulones.
His performances have drawn attention from newly promoted Sunderland and Leeds United, as well as established Premier League side Brentford.
According to transfer expert Ekrem Konur, Sunderland are monitoring Uche closely as they prepare for life back in the top flight and look to replace outgoing midfielder Jobe Bellingham.
