President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Nigeria’s Super Falcons for their hard-fought 2-1 semi-final victory over South Africa, which secured their place in the final of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Reacting shortly after the match, Tinubu took to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, @PBAT, to praise the team’s determination and performance.
The President described the win as “well deserved” and hailed it as a “magnificent display of grit, talent, and the indomitable Nigerian spirit.”
“Congratulations to our Super Falcons! Your incredible #WAFCON2025 semi-finals victory over South Africa today was nothing short of superlative,” Tinubu posted.

The President also called on the nine-time African champions to complete the job and win their historic tenth continental title, saying the entire nation was behind them.
“You have made the nation proud. Keep soaring. Don’t stop until you bring the trophy home. Nigerians worldwide are rooting for you. We are waiting to receive the cup,” he added.
