Rangers International moved to the top of the Nigeria Premier Football League table after a composed 2-0 victory on match day 31, extending their unbeaten run to eight matches.
The breakthrough came deep into first-half stoppage time when Daniel Itodo struck in the 45+4 minute, opening his account for the Flying Antelopes and marking his first goal since joining from Plateau United.
Rangers maintained control after the interval and doubled their lead in the 80th minute. Godwin Obaje was played through one-on-one and finished with precision to register his 11th league goal of the season.
There was further attacking intent as Waheed Adebayo delivered a dangerous cross which Ibrahim Yusuf flicked across the face of goal.
The result means Rangers have now gone eight matches unbeaten, recording five wins and three draws, while keeping clean sheets in seven of their last eight outings.
They climb to 54 points, two clear of Rivers United, who face Nasarawa United on Monday.
