Rangers International embark on a new era of innovation in Nigerian football

Rangers International FC of Enugu has announced a major partnership with Eye Ball, a cutting-edge technology platform, in a strategic move to digitally transform talent development and performance analysis across all levels of the club.

The collaboration, revealed on April 30, 2025, underscores Rangers’ continued push toward modern football innovation.

GM/CEO Barr. Amobi Ezeaku described the partnership as a bold step toward a smarter future for Nigerian football.

“This collaboration reinforces our belief that the future of football lies at the intersection of talent and technology, Rangers is proud to be one of the first professional clubs in Nigeria to embrace this level of digital transformation” Ezeaku stated.

The partnership with Eye Ball will introduce real-time data analytics, AI-assisted performance reviews, and advanced scouting tools—creating a system that supports structured player development from youth academies to the senior team.

This announcement follows on the heels of Rangers’ earlier collaboration with G.O Diaspora Football Outreach, a German based organization renowned for nurturing African football talent. The partnership is already laying groundwork in Enugu and beyond to develop a sustainable talent pipeline.

The outreach program offers mentorship, structured training, and scouting exposure aimed at accelerating the growth of young Nigerian footballers and equipping them for professional success.

8-time champions of the Nigeria Premier football league (NPFL) also made deliberate strides to expand its international footprint. On January 2, 2025, CEO Ezeaku visited the prestigious Sports and Justice Law Firm in Cairo, Egypt.

The visit centered on building international collaborations within the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region—exploring club partnerships, sponsorship opportunities, and broader talent scouting channels.

Just days later, on January 9, Rangers announced a landmark partnership with Swiss outfit FC Schaffhausen. This strategic alliance focuses on talent exchange, coaching development, and a clearer pathway for young Nigerian talents to move into European football.

Through its partnerships with Eye Ball, G.O Diaspora, and FC Schaffhausen, Rangers is setting the blueprint for how African clubs can blend local development with global reach.

“Together with Eye Ball, we are building a smarter football future – from grassroots to greatness,” Ezeaku affirmed.

Rangers International is not only deepening its roots in Nigerian football but also extending its influence into the global football ecosystem.
