Nigeria have lifted the Pan-African G.O.A.T (Game On Afrika Tournament) title in Accra, with Rangers International U19 players at the centre of the victory.
Six players from the Enugu club’s youth academy formed the backbone of the Nigeria Selected team that held Ghana to a 1–1 draw before winning 4–2 on penalties at the Madina Zongo pitch.

The strong Rangers representation reflects the rapid growth of the club’s youth system, which has become one of Nigeria’s most influential talent pipelines. Players from the academy showed maturity, tactical sharpness and resilience throughout the tournament, reinforcing its reputation for producing technically gifted and mentally prepared footballers.
The success is a direct outcome of improved structures, enhanced coaching standards and a renewed focus on youth development.

The progress at Rangers International FC has been widely linked to the sports development agenda of Enugu State Governor, Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah.
Under his administration, Enugu has seen increased investment in sports infrastructure, youth programmes and academy support systems. The upgrades have provided young players with better training environments, improved welfare, and opportunities to compete on international platforms.
Rangers’ dominant presence in the Ghana triumph is being viewed as a key indicator of the governor’s commitment to repositioning Enugu as a rising force in African football.
The victory arrives at a crucial time as the Rangers U19 squad prepares for its upcoming tour of the United Kingdom.

The trip is expected to give the players valuable exposure, elevate their competitive level and place Enugu’s emerging talents on the radar of clubs and scouts abroad.
Club management say the performance in Accra has boosted confidence and reaffirmed the team’s readiness for tougher international tests.
Rangers International’s administrative renewal under General Manager Amobi Ezeaku, a FIFA Master alumnus, continues to reinforce the club’s long-term growth.
