Rangers Women thrash C2E Sports Academy to stay perfect in NWFL Nationwide

Rangers Women maintained their perfect start to the 2025 NWFL Nationwide League with a convincing 5–1 victory over C2E Sports Academy in Abuja.

Agnes Ohuche stunned the Enugu side with the opener for C2E in the 41st minute, but Rangers responded brilliantly.

Oluebube Onwe equalised just before half-time and grabbed her second three minutes after the restart to put the Coal City side ahead.

In-form striker Chisom Onuchukwu continued her red-hot streak, netting another brace, her second in consecutive matches to take her tally to four goals in two games.

Captain Ifeoma Oguegbe rounded off the scoring with a superb free-kick in the 77th minute as Coach Favour Aneke’s team sealed another dominant win.

The result leaves Rangers Women unbeaten and top of Group A, following their earlier 3–0 win over Osklean FC.

Aneke’s “Press-Play” system once again delivered fluid attacking football, producing eight goals in just two matches.

In the other Group A fixture played in Bwari, Dreamstar Ladies defeated Osklean FC 3–0, thanks to goals from Oluebube Ibezundu, Rofiyat Daranijo, and Khadijat Anifowose.

Rangers Women will next face Dreamstar Ladies on 16 October 2025, before wrapping up their group campaign against Plateau Queens on 17 October 2025 in Abuja.
