Remo Stars showered with cash gifts and car after landmark NPFL triumph

Remo Stars Football Club have been handsomely rewarded after a historic Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title triumph that ended a 25-year wait for the Southwest region.

Club owner and philanthropist Hon. Kunle Soname has announced a N25 million cash gift to the players and staff of the Sky Blue Stars for clinching the 2024/25 NPFL title, Remo’s first in history.

The Ikenne-based side secured the title in dominant fashion, amassing 71 points from 38 matches, with 22 wins, 5 draws, and 11 losses.

Crucially, they remained unbeaten at home, while picking up 18 valuable points away, a key factor in their successful campaign.
