Shooting Stars SC secured a dramatic 2–1 victory over league leaders Rivers United in the Nigeria Premier Football League after a stoppage-time winner at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 33rd minute when Sodiq Ibrahim found the net to give Shooting Stars an early advantage.
Rivers United responded in the second half as Wasiu Falolu equalised in the 68th minute, setting up a tense finale between the two sides.
Just when the match appeared to be heading for a draw, Qamar Adegoke struck in stoppage time, scoring in the 91st minute to secure all three points for the Ibadan-based club.
The late goal sparked celebrations among the home supporters as Shooting Stars claimed a crucial victory against the league leaders.

The result lifts Shooting Stars to sixth place in the NPFL standings, strengthening their push towards the top positions as the season enters its final stretch.

Despite the defeat, Rivers United (52pts) remain at the top of the table, although the loss denied them the chance to extend their 2 points over Enugu Rangers ( 50pts)
