Mamelodi Sundowns have secured the signing of midfielder Miguel Reisinho on a free transfer from Portuguese side Boavista.
Reisinho, 26, spent part of his formative years at Vitória de Guimarães, featuring for their reserves, a club that is also a former team of Nuno Santos, Sundowns’ other Portuguese midfielder.
The duo, who have played together for Portugal’s Under-18, Under-19, and Under-20 national teams, now reunite under compatriot coach Miguel Cardoso, giving the coach an immediate advantage in building midfield chemistry.

The playmaker joins Santos on a two-year deal at Chloorkop. Sundowns reportedly invested €1 million (R20 million) to secure him from Vitória de Guimarães, following his departure from Boavista after their relegation last season.
During his time at Boavista, Reisinho made 85 appearances, scoring nine goals and providing four assists, showcasing his creativity and vision in central midfield.
