Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has arrived in Abuja and will today defend his squad selection for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations before the Nigeria Football Federation’s technical committee.
The meeting, scheduled for 8:00am at the NFF headquarters, will see the coach justify his final list as Nigeria prepares for next month’s tournament in Morocco.
An enlarged provisional squad has already been submitted to CAF, though the NFF is yet to release it publicly.
CAF squad rules and Nigeria’s timeline
CAF now permits teams to register up to 27 players for the AFCON, but federations must fund any number above the standard 23. Nations are required to submit their final squads 10 days before the opening match of the tournament, which begins on 21 December with hosts Morocco facing Comoros.
