Super Eagles striker Akor Adams scored his first goal for Sevilla as they edged Rayo Vallecano 1-0 in La Liga.
The 25-year-old, who joined the Spanish club from Montpellier in January, has endured a difficult start to life at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán following multiple thigh injuries.
Adams was introduced in the 69th minute at Estadio de Vallecas and struck the winner late on, turning home Jose Angel Carmona’s low cross in the 87th minute. It was his first goal in nine appearances for Sevilla.
