Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has given the green light to a return to Galatasaray, as talks between Napoli and the Turkish club intensify over the payment of his release clause.

The 26-year-old Super Eagles star has reportedly made his intentions “very, very clear,” according to Nigerian journalist Buchi Laba, with Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also confirming Galatasaray’s official bid of €50m plus €5m in add-ons.

Napoli are said to be holding out for a figure closer to the €75m release clause, but Galatasaray remain optimistic, buoyed by sponsor interest to support the financial package.

Osimhen, who played a crucial role in Galatasaray’s domestic double during a previous loan spell—scoring 37 goals and providing eight assists in 41 appearances—is said to be excited about the club’s long-term project.

Despite weeks of pressure from Napoli to remain in Italy, Osimhen has expressed a firm desire to leave, rejecting offers from several top European clubs, including Premier League giants Manchester United and Liverpool.

He has reportedly agreed personal terms with Galatasaray on a three-year contract, in a move that would mark a major coup for Turkish football.

Saudi club Al Hilal have also been monitoring the situation, with a plan to trigger the €75m clause, but have yet to reach an agreement with the player.
