Super Eagles midfielder Papa Mustapha Daniel is on the verge of completing a transfer to Swiss Super League champions BSC Young Boys, according to multiple reports.
The 23-year-old has been one of the standout performers in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) this season, notching three goals and three assists in 21 appearances for Niger Tornadoes.
His impressive form has not only caught the eye of European scouts but also earned him a maiden call-up to the Super Eagles squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe in March.
Although he did not feature in either match, Daniel was on the bench during the international window and is now firmly on the radar of head coach Eric Chelle as a future midfield option.

Reports from Africa Foot suggest that negotiations with Young Boys are at an advanced stage, with only medicals and final paperwork remaining before an official announcement is made.
The move would mark a return to European football for Daniel, who previously had a brief stint with Turkish side Adanaspor. That spell ended prematurely after the midfielder terminated his contract due to four months of unpaid wages.

A switch to Bern would represent a significant step forward in the player’s career, offering him a platform to develop further in a competitive European environment.
Young Boys, known for nurturing talent and regularly featuring in continental competitions, could offer the ideal setting for Daniel to thrive.
