Rangers International Chief coach Ekeh Ekenedilichukwu praised his players after their emphatic 4-1 victory over Remo Stars FC in the Nigeria Premier Football League.
Speaking after the match he described the win as “a sweet victory” and commended his side for overcoming what he called a difficult opponent.
“Remo is the defending champion of NPFL and a difficult team to play against,” he said. “So I commend my boys for getting the job done.”

The encounter at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium saw the home side make a fast start.
Rangers took the lead in the seventh minute through fullback Kenneth Igboke, whose strike sparked celebrations among the home supporters.
Chigozie Iwundu doubled the advantage just four minutes later to give the hosts early control of the contest.
Remo Stars pulled one back deep into first-half stoppage time when Edimo Kingue scored to reduce the deficit before the break.

However, Rangers restored their two-goal cushion in the second half when Wisdom Ebirim struck in the 62nd minute.

Igboke then sealed the victory with his second goal of the match in the closing stages.

The result keeps Rangers in second place on the league table with 47 points and strengthens their hopes of securing either the title or continental football next season.
