Tobi Amusan falls short in Lausanne Diamond League 100m hurdles

World record holder Tobi Amusan placed fifth in the women’s 100m hurdles at the Lausanne Diamond League, clocking 12.82 seconds on Wednesday night.

The 28-year-old, still building her form on the circuit, was unable to hit top stride in Switzerland as Dutch star Nadine Visser stormed to victory in a season’s best 12.45s, beating a world-class field.

Olympic champion Masai Russell of the United States followed in 12.53s, while Switzerland’s Ditaji Kambundji edged into third with 12.54s. Jamaica’s Ackera Nugent (12.57s) came fourth, just ahead of Amusan.
