AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori has revealed what he told Nigeria international Ademola Lookman after the forward’s proposed move to Inter failed last summer.
Lookman had been linked with a transfer to the Serie A champions, but Atalanta were unwilling to sell the forward to a domestic rival for less than €50m.
The Super Eagles attacker remained in Bergamo for the first half of the season before completing a move to Spanish club Atletico Madrid during the January transfer window.
Tomori, who has faced Lookman several times in Serie A, described the Nigerian as one of the toughest opponents he has come up against during his five-year spell with Milan.

Speaking in an interview with The Athletic, the England defender also shared a light-hearted exchange he had with the former Atalanta winger after the Inter move failed to materialise.
“I spoke to him when he stayed [at Atalanta], and I said: ‘If you went to Inter, we wouldn’t have been friends anymore,’” Tomori said.
