Victor Osimhen has reportedly dismissed claims that he is demanding £400k a week to join the Premier League, as speculation grows surrounding a potential move to Manchester United.
According to Business day, sources close to the Nigerian striker have clarified that his wage expectations are much more realistic, refuting rumors of excessive demands.
Despite widespread interest in Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, his camp has insisted that the reports suggesting such high wage demands are inaccurate.
Manchester United reportedly keen to secure the 26-year-old forward ahead of the summer transfer window, this clarification has come as a response to rumors that could potentially affect the negotiations.
Osimhen remains the highest-paid player in Serie A, but according to his representatives, his financial expectations for a move to England are in line with market standards.

The striker, who is set to return to Napoli at the end of the season, has long been a target for Manchester United, who are eager to bolster their attacking options.
Napoli’s £60 million release clause and the speculation around Osimhen’s wages have raised concerns about the feasibility of the deal.
However, if Napoli’s demands are not met this summer, reports suggest that Osimhen could be prepared to stay at the Italian club until his contract expires in 2026 and leave on a free transfer.

Crouch, who scored 106 goals in the Premier League, has praised Osimhen’s experience, saying, “Delap has shown potential, but Osimhen has proven himself over several years. If I had to choose, I’d go with Osimhen because he’s a game-changer.”
Ferdinand, a former Manchester United captain, also endorsed the Nigerian striker. “Delap is a good player, but United need someone with experience right now, not potential,”
Ferdinand explained. “Osimhen has performed at big clubs like Napoli, and he knows how to score goals in difficult situations. He would make an immediate impact at United.”
