Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has resumed light training following surgery on a fractured forearm, his club Galatasaray have confirmed.
The 27-year-old has begun indoor sessions after completing the initial phase of his rehabilitation, marking a significant step in his recovery.
Osimhen sustained the injury during a collision with Ibrahima Konate in a UEFA Champions League match against Liverpool in mid-March. He subsequently underwent surgery, which the club described as successful.
Galatasaray said the striker is no longer in the early stages of recovery but has not yet returned to full team training. He remains on an individual programme indoors while the squad prepares for upcoming domestic fixtures.
Manager Okan Buruk and his staff are expected to take a cautious approach to his return, given the nature of the injury.
Despite the setback, Osimhen is aiming to return to action later this month. A potential comeback date has been identified as 26 April, when Galatasaray face rivals Fenerbahce in the Intercontinental Derby.

Such a timeline would represent a recovery period of approximately five to six weeks from the date of surgery.

Osimhen is expected to progress from indoor work to light outdoor training and eventually full-contact sessions. Medical staff may also require him to wear a protective splint on his arm.
