Nottingham Forest Women have made a statement signing in Super Falcons forward Joy Omewa, who arrives from Danish champions Fortuna Hjørring after an impressive scoring run.
The 23-year-old striker has put pen to paper on a deal that will keep her at the City Ground until the end of the 2025–26 season, as Forest look to strengthen their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.
Omewa has built a reputation as one of the most prolific forwards in Danish football, scoring 52 goals in 85 league appearances since joining Fortuna Hjørring in 2022.

She also helped her former club win the Danish Women’s Cup twice and was a key figure in their Kvindeligaen title triumph in 2024–25.
At international level, Omewa has progressed steadily through Nigeria’s ranks, representing the under-17 and under-20 teams before making her senior Super Falcons debut last year.
Forest head coach Carly Davies welcomed the new signing, highlighting the striker’s natural finishing ability.
“Joy’s incredible goal-scoring record speaks for itself,” Davies said.

“Joy is exactly the type of player who can help us push forward and achieve our ambitions.”
