Wolverhampton Wanderers have made a move for Nigerian international Chrisantus Uche, lodging a €20m bid with La Liga side Getafe.
According to Fabrizio Romano the discussions are underway between the two clubs, with Wolves also in talks with the 22-year-old’s representatives over personal terms.
Uche, who can play both in midfield and attack, has impressed Wolves boss Vítor Pereira with his dribbling, versatility and work rate.

He is seen as a possible replacement for forward Jørgen Strand Larsen, who has been linked with a move to Newcastle United.

Uche has already made a strong start to the 2025/26 season, scoring and assisting in Getafe’s opening-day win over Celta Vigo.
Last season, he managed four goals and six assists in 33 La Liga appearances, playing a key role in helping Getafe avoid relegation.

The Azuolones have not been able to register new signings for the new season due to financial challenges.
The 22-year-old was signed from third Division club Ceuta last summer for £500,000 will be seen as massive profit for the Madrid club.

According to Spanish publication, AS, Getafe will accept offers below €15m for the player.
Wolves, who have lost their first two Premier League matches to Manchester City and Bournemouth, are eager to bolster their squad before the transfer deadline.
