Zimbabwe mens national team head coach, Michael Nees, has been left in awe of Nigeria’s incredible hospitality and top-tier training facilities ahead of the Warriors’ showdown against the Super Eagles in Uyo.
Despite a delayed flight disrupting their arrival, Nees admitted he was stunned by the luxurious accommodation and impressive football infrastructure provided by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF).

Speaking to the Warriors’ media team, Nees couldn’t hide his admiration for the facilities, calling them some of the best he has seen.
“The hotel is fantastic, very spacious. The training pitch? Absolutely impressive. We would be happy to have something like this in our own country he said.
The German tactician highlighted the high-quality playing surface, describing it as “soft, not too hard” and expressed excitement to experience the main stadium pitch on matchday.

While Zimbabwe grapples with travel fatigue, Nees acknowledged that Nigeria is in a prime position to dominate the encounter.
“Our intensity isn’t at its peak yet, but we’re managing the players’ workload. Traveling takes a toll, but we’re satisfied with how things are going,” he admitted.

Despite the setbacks, the Warriors boss remains focused on the battle ahead.
“Nigeria has top-class players. They started this campaign poorly, but they’re determined to turn things around. It’s going to be a battle, and we’ll give it everything,” Nees vowed.

With the Super Eagles sitting fourth in Group C, Tuesday’s clash at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium is nothing short of a do-or-die affair.
