Chiamaka Nnadozie’s penalty heroics earns Paris FC historic Coupe de France trophy

Chiamaka Nnadozie has been named in the Ligue Team of the Season for the second year running after another stellar campaign with Paris FC.

Chiamaka Nnadozie’s outstanding performance in goalkeeping has led Paris FC to a historic achievement, as they secured the Coupe de France Féminine title for the first time in nearly two decades by defeating city rivals Paris Saint-Germain in a dramatic penalty shootout.

In a thrilling penalty shootout against PSG Feminines, Nnadozie show down incredible skill and composure, saving two crucial spot kicks to lead her team to a 5-4 victory at the Stade de l’Épopée in Calais, marking the first all-Paris showdown in the history of the competition.

The victory served as sweet revenge for Nnadozie and her teammates, who had previously lost to PSG on penalties in last season’s semi-final following a thrilling 3-3 draw.

On the national stage, she was part of the Super Falcons team that won the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations and played a vital role in securing gold at the 2019 African Games, where she saved three penalties in the final against Cameroon.

Her individual accolades include the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award in both 2023 and 2024, the D1 Arkema Goalkeeper of the Season award for the 2023–24 season, and the IFFHS award for Africa’s Best Woman Goalkeeper in 2019.
