Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) President Ibrahim Gusau has officially resigned from office, bringing his tenure at the helm of Nigerian football to an end.
Gusau announced his resignation on Thursday during a world press conference in Abuja, following weeks of mounting pressure on the NFF leadership.
The development comes after a turbulent period for Nigerian football, marked by the Super Eagles’ failure to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the Super Falcons’ historic failure to qualify for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
