Chelsea defender Tosin Adarabioyo is set to make a decision on his international future in the coming months, according to journalist Nizaar Kinsella. The 27-year-old has been a key player for the Blues, making 22 Premier League appearances last season and helping the team secure qualification for the Champions League.
Adarabioyo, who joined Chelsea on a free transfer last summer, has established himself as an important member of the squad and is known for his impressive performances. He is yet to play for England, despite being eligible to represent the Three Lions, and is also eligible to play for Nigeria.
The defender’s decision on his international future is crucial, with the 2026 World Cup on the horizon.

Adarabioyo wants to play in the tournament and feels established at Chelsea now, which may influence his decision. Kinsella tweeted,
“Tosin Adarabioyo is going to make his England-Nigeria international future decision in the next months. The 27-year-old was cautious committing in the last year but wants to play in the World Cup in 2026 and feels established at Chelsea now.”
Adarabioyo’s decision on his international future comes at a time when Chelsea is expected to make significant changes to their squad. The club is looking to bring in a new centre-back, with Rentao Veiga and Axel Disasi potentially leaving.

According to reports, Chelsea is interested in signing Ajax star Jorrel Hato, but faces competition from other Premier League clubs for the 19-year-old.
A move for Marc Guehi is said to be unlikely at this point, whilst another target Jarrad Branthwaite is set to sign a new contract at Everton.
Despite the potential changes to the squad, Adarabioyo has established himself as a key player for Chelsea.
He is known as “uncle” by the club’s young squad and has been impressive when called upon. Adarabioyo’s decision on his international future will likely have no impact on his future at Chelsea, where he has become an important member of the team.
