Ajibade debuts, Echegini impresses as PSG are held by Lens in league opener

Nigeria internationals Rasheedat Ajibade and Jennifer Echegini featured as Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) were held to a 1-1 draw by newly-promoted Lens in their French Division 1 Féminine opener.

Echegini, who joined PSG in 2024, created the opener when her pass set up Merveille Kanjinga to give the visitors an early lead.

PSG were unable to add to their advantage and Lens struck back late, with Sherly Jeudy equalising in the 84th minute.

Ajibade, who completed her move to PSG last month after leaving Atletico Madrid, made her debut at the start of the second half when she replaced Crystal Dunn.
