Nigeria’s Super Falcons will play two friendly matches against Cameroon as part of preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed the fixtures will take place in Yaoundé during the FIFA Women’s International Window from 24 February to 7 March 2026.
The Super Falcons will meet the Indomitable Lionesses on 28 February before a second encounter on 3 March in the Cameroonian capital.
Nigeria are the defending champions, having won a record 10th continental title at the last edition in Morocco.
NFF General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi said arrangements for the matches had been finalised in collaboration with Cameroon’s football authority.
“Our commitment is to ensure that the Super Falcons are well-prepared to retain their WAFCON title in Morocco and qualify for next year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup finals in Brazil,” he said.
Cameroon Football Federation General Secretary Isaac Mandong said his federation was pleased to host the nine-time African champions.
“We are excited about the opportunity to host the Nigeria national team and to strengthen the ties between our two federations through this collaboration,” he said.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has scheduled the 13th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations to run from 17 March to 3 April 2026 in Morocco.
