Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen believes Galatasaray can produce another strong performance when they face Liverpool at Anfield in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League tie.
Galatasaray secured a narrow 1–0 victory in the first leg at RAMS Park, giving the Turkish champions a valuable advantage ahead of the return match in England.
The night was memorable for Osimhen both on and off the pitch, with the forward playing a key role in the win and becoming visibly emotional after fans unveiled a banner honouring his late mother before kick-off.

Despite acknowledging the challenge of playing at Anfield, Osimhen insisted Galatasaray have the quality to trouble Liverpool again.
“Every time we play here it’s so emotional for us. Aside from that, the victory is important,” he said after the match.
“We know next week is going to be really hard, but I believe in this team and the kind of performance we put in against a very good side like Liverpool. I’m optimistic that we can do some damage there at Anfield.

“But like I said earlier, it’s not going to be easy. We will go back, look at our mistakes and try to correct them. I’m proud of the boys tonight.”
The Nigerian forward praised his teammates for their effort against the Premier League side and said the squad would review the first-leg performance carefully before the decisive clash.
The Champions League tie also carried personal significance for Osimhen after Galatasaray fans unveiled a large tifo in tribute to his late mother.

The gesture moved the striker, who said the moment strengthened his bond with the club and its supporters since arriving in Istanbul.
“When I was coming out from the dugout and saw the banner, it was really emotional for me. I was very young when I lost my mum,” he said.
“To see this type of gesture, like they said, ‘we are family’, this club and these fans mean so much to me. I’m happy that I came here and that in my career I’m able to experience this type of compassionate and amazing people.

“It’s not just about football, it’s about life in general. I’m so grateful to them for the love they’ve shown me and my family.
