Okoye earns Serie A Team of the Week spot after Milan shutout

Nigeria goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has been named in Serie A’s Team of the Week after a standout performance in Udinese’s surprise victory over AC Milan.

Okoye kept a clean sheet at San Siro as Udinese secured an emphatic win against one of Italy’s leading sides, producing a composed display under pressure.

Milan registered 20 attempts during the match, but only three were on target, all of which were comfortably dealt with by the Nigerian international.

His performance proved decisive as Udinese, who had lost their previous four meetings with Milan, overturned expectations.

Goals from Arthur Atta and Jurgen Ekkelenkamp, along with an own goal from Davide Bartesaghi, sealed the victory.
