Nigeria’s Flamingos have discovered their opponents for the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, with the African representatives drawn alongside Poland, Puerto Rico and Korea DPR in Group B.

The draw sets up an intriguing group for Akeem Busari’s side, who secured their place at the tournament after defeating Benin’s Young Amazons 8-5 on aggregate in the final qualifying round.

Nigeria claimed a 3-2 victory in the first leg at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne before sealing qualification with an entertaining 5-3 win in the return fixture in Lomé.

The Flamingos will begin their World Cup campaign against Poland at the Women’s Football Complex (Pitch 4) in Rabat on 17 October.

Their second group fixture comes three days later against Puerto Rico at the same venue on 20 October, before they conclude the group stage with what could prove to be their toughest test against two-time champions Korea DPR at the Women’s Football Complex (Pitch 1) in Rabat on 23 October.

Korea DPR are among the most successful nations in the history of the competition, making them the favourites in Group B, while Poland and Puerto Rico will both be aiming to reach the knockout stages for the first time.
