British-Nigerian boxing star Anthony Joshua was involved in a serious road accident on Monday along the Makun axis of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Ogun State.
Eyewitnesses told local outlets that a Lexus SUV reportedly carrying Joshua collided with a stationary truck near the Danco Filling Station, resulting in the deaths of two people at the scene.
Rescue officials who responded to the incident said the former heavyweight world champion was pulled from the wreckage with minor injuries and did not require extensive medical treatment.
