The road to continental glory is now clear after CAF conducted the quarter-final draws for the 2025/26 Champions League and Confederation Cup in Cairo on Tuesday.
Held at the Egyptian Football Association headquarters, the ceremony mapped out not only the last-eight fixtures but also the route to the final in both competitions.
Champions League heavyweight clashes
Defending champions Pyramids FC will face Morocco’s AS FAR in one of the standout ties, as the Cairo club pursue a second successive African crown.
Twelve-time winners Al Ahly renew their fierce rivalry with Tunisia’s Espérance Sportive de Tunis in a clash between two continental heavyweights.
Reigning Confederation Cup holders RS Berkane take on Sudan’s Al Hilal Omdurman, while last season’s runners-up Mamelodi Sundowns meet Mali’s Stade Malien.
Semi-final bracket confirmed
The draw has also determined the semi-final pathway.
The winner of Espérance v Al Ahly will face either Sundowns or Stade Malien.
The winner of AS FAR v Pyramids will meet either RS Berkane or Al Hilal Omdurman.
That structure ensures at least one North African club will reach the final, while Sundowns remain the only Southern African side left in the competition.
Confederation Cup ties
In the Confederation Cup, Egypt’s Zamalek SC were paired with Congo’s AS Otoho.
