Nigerian striker Chisom Egbuchulam has completed a move to Detroit City FC on a one-year contract with an option to extend for the 2027 season.
The American club confirmed the signing on Friday with the deal subject to league and federation approval.
Egbuchulam, 33, arrives after spending the 2024–25 campaign with Al-Jandal, and will wear the No. 26 jersey for Detroit City.

The Enugu-born forward began his professional rise with Rangers International FC, where his performances earned him a move to Swedish side BK Häcken in 2017.
He later featured for Falkenbergs FF, scoring 14 league goals during the 2018 Superettan season, before embarking on spells across Asia with Suwon FC and Meizhou Hakka.

At Meizhou, Egbuchulam enjoyed one of the most productive periods of his career, netting 20 goals in 2021 to help the club secure promotion to the Chinese Super League.

The versatile attacker also played for Hatta Club before returning to Saudi Arabia with Al-Jandal.

On the international stage, Egbuchulam has previously been invited to the Nigeria national football team during the qualification phase for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
