With nine WAFCON titles, Super Falcons remain the continent’s most decorated side, while defending champions South Africa are eyeing back-to-back trophies after claiming their first crown in 2022.

Head-to-Head: Nigeria vs South Africa
This will be the 11th WAFCON meeting between the two nations, and history favours Nigeria:

Goals scored: Nigeria – 16 | South Africa – 5
However, recent history is less kind to the Super Falcons. South Africa defeated Nigeria 2-1 in the group stage of the 2022 edition a symbolic result that sparked their run to a first-ever title.
