Nottingham Forest have confirmed that Nigeria international Ola Aina has signed a new three-year contract, keeping him at the City Ground until the summer of 2028.
The 28-year-old full-back joined Forest in July 2023 on a free transfer from Italian side Torino, signing an initial one-year deal.
That agreement included an extension clause, which Forest activated in May 2024 after securing Premier League survival.
Aina impressed in his first season, initially playing at left-back before becoming a regular on the right under head coach Nuno Espírito Santo.
He made 37 appearances in all competitions during the 2024–25 campaign, helping Forest to an impressive seventh-place Premier League finish and a run to the FA Cup semi-finals.
In total, Aina has now made 59 appearances for the club, scoring three goals and contributing two assists.

Forest have been proactive in securing key players and staff, with Chris Wood also signing a new deal during the season, and Brazilian centre-back Murillo extending his contract until 2029.
Nuno Espírito Santo also put pen to paper on a new deal in June, confirming his stay at the club through 2028.
Aina’s journey has seen him come through the academy at Chelsea, where he made six senior appearances.

He enjoyed loan spells at Hull City and Torino, the latter eventually signing him permanently in 2019. He made 113 appearances for the Serie A side and spent the 2020–21 season back in England with Fulham.
Though born in London and a former England youth international, Aina switched allegiance to Nigeria in 2017 and has since won 40 senior caps.
