Nigerian international and Super Eagles defender Bright Osayi-Samuel is set to leave Fenerbahçe at the end of the 2024/25 season, following the club’s failure to offer him a contract extension.
Osayi-Samuel, who joined Fenerbahçe from Queens Park Rangers in 2021, has been a consistent presence in the squad and featured prominently under manager José Mourinho this season.
The versatile right-back played 39 matches in all competitions during the just-concluded campaign, contributing 2 assists.

Since joining the Turkish giants, the 26-year-old has made 175 appearances, scoring 7 goals and providing 15 assists over four-and-a-half seasons — a testament to his reliability and endurance on the pitch.

Laba also addressed speculation around the player’s wage demands, clarifying that claims of a €2.5 million annual salary request were false.
“Reports about him requesting €2.5 million per year are completely untrue. Certain board members leaked those false informations to journalists,” he added.
Despite his strong performances, negotiations between Osayi-Samuel’s camp and the club failed to progress.
The defender has reportedly turned down offers from two Turkish clubs and is now attracting interest from teams in England, France, and Germany.
