Peter Olayinka joins 29-time Cypriot champions

Cypriot heavyweights APOEL Nicosia FC have strengthened their attack with the signing of Nigerian international Peter Olayinka.

The 30-year-old forward joins the club on a free transfer, signing a contract that runs until May 2026.

Olayinka arrives in Cyprus after leaving Serbian champions Red Star Belgrade four months ago, ending a brief period without a club.

The Super Eagles striker brings a wealth of experience from Europe, having played in Albania, the Czech Republic, and Serbia, scoring 102 goals and providing 61 assists in 364 professional appearances.

He is best remembered for his time at Slavia Prague, where he became the club’s highest-scoring foreign player in European competitions, recording over 50 goals and 26 assists in more than 180 appearances.
