Super Eagles B are aiming to replicate the recent successes of Nigeria’s women’s national teams as they prepare to kick off their 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) campaign.
The home-based Eagles is seeking to add to Nigeria’s growing list of sporting triumphs following the Super Falcons’ 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title and D’Tigress’ record-setting fifth consecutive FIBA Afrobasket crown.
Nigeria have been drawn in Group D of the 19-team CHAN tournament, alongside defending champions Senegal, Sudan, and Congo.
Their opening two matches against Senegal and Sudan will be played at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar.

Team captain Nduka Junior, who recently led Remo Stars to their maiden Nigeria Premier Football League title, believes the squad is motivated to follow in the footsteps of their female counterparts.
“Our female team has just won the WAFCON, and our women’s team won the basketball title. It’s a good record for the country and we hope to consolidate on that,” Nduka said at a pre-match press conference.
Nigeria will begin their campaign against Senegal on Tuesday, August 5.
