Super Eagles and Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface has rejected claims that he is facing a doping suspension.
The controversy emerged after a post on the platform X alleged that the 25-year-old forward had tested positive for prohibited substances and had been handed a two-year ban from football by world governing body FIFA.
The claim quickly gained traction online, prompting reactions from fans before Boniface responded directly to the post.

In a brief reply, the striker warned the author of the message to seek legal representation, signalling potential action over what he described as fabricated information.
The Nigeria international later shared further comments in Nigerian Pidgin, suggesting the individual responsible could face consequences for spreading false allegations.

Boniface is currently sidelined following knee surgery that ruled him out for the remainder of the 2025–26 season. His rehabilitation programme is ongoing, with the player focusing on recovery ahead of a return next campaign.
