Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade has revealed that comments from the Zambian camp before the match served as extra motivation for Nigeria’s 5–0 demolition job in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
Ajibade, who was named Woman of the Match for the second time in the tournament, was at the heart of a dominant display in Casablanca registering two assists and showcasing the leadership that has defined Nigeria’s flawless run so far.
“There was a lot of talk from the Zambia camp, and we heard all of it,” Ajibade said after the final whistle. “It was big motivation for us.”
