Galatasaray star Victor Osimhen has described his jaw-dropping performance this season as one he will never forget.
The Nigerian international has directly participated in 41 goals (33 goals, 8 assists) from 37 appearances across all competitions, surpassing his personal best and cementing his status as one of the most prolific strikers in the Turkish Super Lig.
After a thrilling encounter against Sivasspor at the Ali Sami Yen Spor Kompleksi RAMS Park, Osimhen expressed his gratitude to those around him and praised Galatasaray as the biggest club in Turkey.

“It was important to break my record in my first season,” Osimhen said in a post-match interview. “I am at one of the most important clubs in the world. The biggest club in Turkey.”
Osimhen’s impressive form has been a key factor in Galatasaray’s success this season, and he acknowledged the effort his teammates have contributed to the team’s achievements. “Apart from goals and assists, I like to help the team,” he emphasized.
“I want to get the ball in the future, help the midfield, do my best for the team. The team comes first for me.”
The Nigerian striker’s record-breaking season is a testament to his hard work and dedication.
Before his loan switch to Galatasaray in September 2024, Osimhen’s highest single-season goal tally stood at 31, achieved with Napoli during the 2022-2023 campaign.
He has now surpassed that mark, netting 33 goals in all competitions, including 24 in the Turkish Super Lig.
As Osimhen looks to the future, he remains focused on the team’s success.
“When I convert opportunities into goals, it makes me happy,” he said. “The important thing is not Victor Osimhen, but the team.”
