Antoine Griezmann praised Atlético Madrid’s team spirit after Ademola Lookman marked his debut with a goal and an assist in a 5–0 Copa del Rey quarter-final win over Real Betis.
The France forward said the club’s unity had helped new signings settle quickly, following a dominant display in Seville that sent Diego Simeone’s side into the semi-finals.
“Regarding Lookman, the idea is to enjoy the new players and let them give us nights of joy like this one,” Griezmann said.
“We are a team, a dressing room, a club and a fanbase that makes things easy. From the first second, every new player is welcomed with open arms.”
