Fulham push to secure Chukwueze after impressive loan spell

Fulham have intensified efforts to sign Samuel Chukwueze on a permanent deal after opening talks with AC Milan over a summer transfer.

The Nigeria international has rediscovered his form since joining Fulham on loan, producing a series of assured performances that have revived his reputation as one of Europe’s most dangerous wide players.

One of the standout moments of his spell came in December, when he scored twice against Manchester City a display.

Chukwueze has also adapted quickly off the pitch at Craven Cottage, aided by the presence of fellow Nigerians Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey.

According reports from Italy they’re indications Fulham have already signalled their intent to activate the purchase option included in the loan agreement. While a formal offer is yet to be submitted, discussions are understood to be progressing through intermediaries.

Chukwueze is believed to be open to remaining in England, having found regular playing time and stability.

A sale would offer Milan a chance to recoup a significant portion of their investment. The buy clause is reportedly set at around €24m, potentially rising to €28m with bonuses.
