Paul Onuachu is on the verge of a historic milestone at Trabzonspor, with the Nigerian striker closing in on the club’s all-time foreign goalscoring record in a single season.
The 30-year-old has scored 22 league goals and requires just three more to surpass the mark set by Alexander Sørloth, while also drawing level with the tally achieved by Shota Arveladze.
Onuachu’s prolific form has been central to Trabzonspor’s strong push for the Süper Lig title, with the forward contributing around 40% of the team’s goals this season.
Having netted 22 times in just 25 appearances, the 2.01m striker is enjoying one of the most productive campaigns of his career. His current run builds on last season’s return of 15 goals, underlining a sustained resurgence in front of goal.

If he scores four more goals before the end of the campaign, Onuachu will set a new outright record for the most goals scored by a foreign player in a single season in Trabzonspor’s history.

The forward’s revival is particularly striking given his difficult spell at Southampton, where he struggled to reproduce the form that once established him as one of Europe’s most prolific strikers during his time at Genk.
