Abia Warriors have suspended Technical Adviser Imama Amapakabo and Chief Coach Bethel Oji from all club activities over alleged acts of insubordination.
In an official letter dated 11 May 2026 and signed by club chairman John Sam Obuh, the Nigeria Premier Football League side said the suspension takes immediate effect pending the outcome of investigations.
Despite Imama taking warriors to their first ever continental experience while finishing 3rd last season, The club said the decision followed incidents during their FA Cup semi-final against Ahudiyannem FC and a 2-0 matchday37 league defeat against Kun Khalifat which has seen the warriors further drift away from continental places, currently in 7th position, 55 points with 1 away game left to play for the season.
