Super Eagles stars Iwobi and Chukwueze battle for Fulham’s top individual award

Alex Iwobi and Samuel Chukwueze have been recognised for their impressive contributions at Fulham after both Super Eagles stars were nominated for the club’s Goal of the Season award.

The Premier League side unveiled a 15-goal shortlist for the individual honour, with supporters now set to decide the winner through a fan vote.

Iwobi earned his nomination for a memorable strike against Tottenham Hotspur, while Chukwueze’s superb finish against Manchester City also made the final shortlist.

Among the contenders, Chukwueze is widely viewed as one of the favourites after producing a brilliant goal against the reigning English champions. The Nigerian winger showcased his quick feet and composure inside the penalty area before finding the net in what remains one of Fulham’s standout moments of the campaign.

However, while Iwobi appears set to continue at Craven Cottage, uncertainty surrounds Chukwueze’s future.

Reports suggest Fulham have decided against activating the option to make the winger’s move permanent, with the club unwilling to meet AC Milan’s reported €24 million valuation.

As a result, Chukwueze is expected to return to the Italian giants when his loan spell officially ends this summer.

Despite the uncertainty, his goal against Manchester City remains one of the strongest candidates for Fulham’s Goal of the Season award and could yet earn him one final piece of recognition from the club’s supporters.
