Enugu State Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has rewarded players and management of Rangers International after the club secured a record ninth Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.
The announcement was made during a state banquet on Tuesday night following the team’s trophy parade in Enugu.
Rangers claimed the 2025/26 NPFL crown to become the second club to win the league title nine times.
Addressing players, coaches and invited guests at the dinner, Mr Mbah praised the team’s achievement and announced a reward package worth ₦150m.
The governor said ₦100m would be shared among the players, while ₦50m would be distributed among members of the club’s management team.
He also awarded Certificates of Occupancy (C of O) for plots of land in Enugu to all players and management staff.
Mr Mbah further assured the club of upgrades to the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium ahead of Rangers’ participation in next season’s CAF Champions League.
The planned improvements, he said, would also support preparations for the 2026 Coal City Games sports festival.
The announcements were greeted with applause from players and officials as celebrations continued for a title-winning campaign that saw Rangers make history with a record ninth NPFL crown.
Rangers will now shift their focus to continental football as they prepare to represent Nigeria in the CAF Champions League next season.
