The Federal Government has begun fulfilling its long-awaited housing promise to Nigeria’s Super Falcons, with the presentation of house certificates to members of the squad ahead of their opening match at the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) confirmed the development on Monday after NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau presented the certificate for one of the promised houses to first-choice goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.
A photograph shared on the federation’s official X account showed Gusau handing the certificate to Nnadozie, while the NFF’s Director of Competitions, Ruth David, looked on.
The presentation serves as the latest step in the fulfilment of the reward package announced by President Bola Tinubu after the Super Falcons captured their record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations title last year.

The housing allocation forms part of the government’s pledge to honour the players for their continental triumph, alongside a cash reward of $100,000 for each member of the victorious squad.
The ceremony comes at a significant moment for the Super Falcons, who are preparing to begin the defence of their African title at WAFCON 2026.
The reward package had remained a subject of public discussion after the promises were not immediately fulfilled following last year’s success. However, National Sports Commission chairman Shehu Dikko recently confirmed that the financial commitments had been completed and that the house certificates would be presented while the players were together in Morocco.
The timing is expected to provide an additional morale boost for Justin Madugu’s side as they pursue a record-extending 11th WAFCON crown and one of Africa’s qualification places for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
