Super Falcons defender Tosin Demehin has announced her departure from Turkish giants Galatasaray after two seasons with the Istanbul club.
The 24-year-old centre-back joined Galatasaray from French side Stade de Reims in September 2024 on a free transfer and initially signed a one-year contract.
After establishing herself as a regular member of the team, Demehin extended her stay in August 2025 by signing another one-year deal, but that contract has now come to an end.
Demehin confirmed her departure in an emotional message to the club, thanking Galatasaray for what she described as an unforgettable chapter of her career.
“Thank you Galatasaray for an incredible chapter. It has been an honour to wear this badge and represent this great club. I leave with great respect, gratitude, pride and unforgettable memories. Wishing the club continued success,” she wrote.

The former Rivers Angels defender made 42 league appearances for Galatasaray during her spell in Turkey, scoring twice.
Although the club could not replicate the success of its 2023/24 title-winning campaign during Demehin’s time there, the Nigerian remained an important defensive option and gained valuable experience competing at the top level of Turkish women’s football.
Her departure now opens another chapter in a career that has already taken her from Nigeria to France and Turkey.

Demehin was also part of the Super Falcons squad at the recent Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where Nigeria’s campaign ended in the quarterfinals. She received a red card during the tournament against Zambia, although the Falcons went on to secure a 1-0 victory in that match.
