Barcelona have announced a new three-season sponsorship agreement with EGYPTAIR, with the Egyptian airline becoming a Global Partner of the club until the end of the 2028/29 season.
The agreement will see EGYPTAIR become Barcelona’s Exclusive Official Airline for the men’s first football team, basketball team and handball team.
The partnership, announced by Barcelona on Wednesday, August 26, also includes branding on the handball team’s shirt, with the EGYPTAIR logo to appear on the front of the jersey during matches.
Barcelona said the partnership provides an opportunity to connect the Barça brand with new markets and further strengthen its position as one of the most influential sporting organizations in the world.
Marc Bruix, Barcelona’s Global Sponsorships director, described the agreement as a natural progression in the club’s international expansion.
“Connecting FC Barcelona with EGYPTAIR, a benchmark for excellence and history in international aviation is a natural step to take in our expansion.”
“This sponsorship reinforces our commitment to take the Barça values and passion to our followers in the Middle East and Africa, where we have an amazing fan community”.
The partnership is particularly significant for Barcelona’s ambitions across the Middle East and Africa, regions where the Catalan club has a sizeable following.
